David Cameron says he wants to create 500 more free schools in the next parliament.
The Prime Minister will suggest at a speech in London later
today that the controversial programme has been a great success, amid
criticism from teachers' unions and the Labour Party."If you vote Conservative, you will see the continuation of the free schools programme at the rate you’ve seen in the last three years," he will say.
Nigeria can do with more free schools at both primary and secondary schools. The overcrowded classrooms in Nigerian is a case in point.
The ratio of students to one teacher is between 50 to 60 in some schools, thereby making it very difficult for teachers to over that very important personal touch. Students who do not catch up fast are left behind to source assistance elsewhere.
More schools in areas that need them will reduce congested classrooms and improve learning.
there needs to be more schools to reduce the number of students per class to notin more than 32 in a class to Foster 1on1 interaction between students and teachers, onlike the pollution today which exceed 90 in class... no very good at all. CHANGE!!
